Let's talk about some unforgettable moments starting with Josh Naylor’s homer in the first inning that initially quenched our spirits. But wait, it was Andrew Benintendi who gave us hope with a brilliant homer to right center bringing the score to 1-2 in no time.
The game continued with strategic moves like Mike Tauchman giving us crucial singles and Kyle Teel connecting a clutch single to bring home Miguel Vargas, tying the game. How about Lenyn Sosa? Two homers to left, one in the fourth and another in the eighth, he was on fire!

Defensively, we had some tight innings. G. Taylor took a bit of a shaky start with some errors that led to a Diamondbacks score, but our infield regrouped quickly. With the help of Wilson closing it out, their scoring came to a halt after that lone run in the 8th inning. A pat on the back to Chase Meidroth for that vital sacrifice fly in the seventh, securing another run. The synergy was impeccable tonight with seamless transitions between our pitchers who kept the pressure on.Let’s celebrate this fantastic win, proud South Siders!
