Let's Start with the Positives: Our Bats Came Alive in the 5th!

Though we didn't get the W, there's something to be said about the fireworks from the Milwaukee Brewers' bats in the bottom of the 5th inning. It was a moment that had us all on our feet! Joey Ortiz started things off with a monstrous homer to left-center (416 feet) 😱. Soon after, William Contreras followed suit with a 409-foot bomb, bringing in Jackson Chourio. And let's not forget Garrett Mitchell going back-to-back with a shot to left-center (393 feet). Just like that, we leveled the score at 4-4. Electrifying stuff! ⚡

Early Troubles and A Diamondbacks Surge

The game started rough. In the top of the 1st, Ketel Marte launched a solo homer to put the Diamondbacks up quickly. Our pitching had its hands full. By the middle of the 2nd inning, we were down 3-0. Then in the 5th, the Diamondbacks added another run to make it 4-0. But credit to our lineup, not only did we respond—we roared!

Regaining Momentum: Short-lived but Sweet

After leveling it up, it seemed like the tide was finally turning in our favor. But alas, the Diamondbacks found their stride again, hitting a couple more homers, including a 378-foot shot from Lourdes Gurriel Jr. to edge them ahead once more. By the end of the 6th, they stretched the lead to 7-4.

Missed Opportunities and Struggles to Close the Gap

As the tension built, we had our chances but couldn't convert. Brice Turang, Isaac Collins, and Eric Haase all struck out in crucial moments when we desperately needed base runners. The Diamondbacks' bullpen stifled our attempts, showing solid control in the final innings.

Wrapping it Up: A Fight to the End

Despite the loss, there were still plenty of standout performances that should give us hope. William Contreras's continued hitting prowess—reaching base with four singles—was a big highlight. Our 5th inning burst shows that our offense has the potential to change any game in an instant. Let's regroup, keep our heads high, and bounce back stronger in the next match! 💪💙⚾

Thank you for reading, and as always, Go Brew Crew!

End of the 9th inning; Brewers Score: 4, Diamondbacks Score: 7
