Game Recap: Braves vs. Diamondbacks
What a fantastic game, Braves fans!
Early Innings
We started off strong with Jarred Kelenic singling to right in the top of the 1st, but we couldn't bring him home. In the bottom of the 1st, Ketel Marte singled for the Diamondbacks, but our defense held tight, keeping the score at 0-0.Our momentum picked up in the 2nd inning when Marcell Ozuna doubled to left and Adam Duvall walked. A passed ball and an error by the Diamondbacks' second baseman Marte allowed us to score two runs, giving us an early 2-0 lead.
Crucial Plays
Marcell Ozuna and Adam Duvall continued to show why they’re key players for the Braves. In the 6th inning, after a double by Matt Olson and a single by Marcell Ozuna, Adam Duvall blasted a 441-foot homer to left field, bringing in three runs and extending our lead to 5-0. What a shot!
The Diamondbacks managed to pull back two runs in the bottom of the 6th, but Eli White came in during the 8th inning and tripled to center, bringing in another run, making the score 6-2.
Closing it Out
In the 9th inning, the Diamondbacks were unable to mount a comeback, as A.J. Minter held them off with a clean 1-2-3 inning.Final score: Braves 6, Diamondbacks 2. An exceptional team effort with strong defense and pivotal at-bats. Enjoy this victory, Braves Nation!
