Tough Loss in Miami 😔

The Braves faced a tough game against the Marlins, and unfortunately, we came up just short. Let's dive into the recap and see how things unfolded.

Early Struggles in the First Inning

We got off to a rocky start. Michael Harris II managed to reach on an infield single, but then our bats went cold. Ozzie Albies, Marcell Ozuna, and Matt Olson couldn't keep the momentum going and struck out.

The Marlins capitalized in the bottom half of the inning, scoring three runs with a ground rule double and singles, giving them an early lead. 😣

Fighting Back Slowly

In the third inning, Harris II again led off with a single. Some good situational hitting from Soler's sacrifice fly brought him home, getting us on the board. However, we were still behind 3-1 by the end of the third.

In the fourth inning, Orlando Arcia provided a spark with a solo home run to left, cutting the lead to 3-2! 💥

Sixth Inning Surge

Ramon Laureano crushed a homer to right center in the sixth, making it a one-run game at 4-3. The excitement was palpable, and it felt like we were back in it! 🔥

However, opportunities to tie or take the lead slipped through our fingers as we couldn’t manage to bring in more runs despite Laureano reaching on a throwing error in the eighth.

Close but No Cigar in the Ninth

The ninth inning saw Arcia fly out, then Harris II lined out, and finally, Albies grounded out to end the game. The Marlins held on to their slim lead, and we fell 4-3.

Final Thoughts

It's always tough to lose by one run, especially when we fought so hard to come back. Big shoutout to Orlando Arcia and Ramon Laureano for their homers, and Michael Harris II for reaching base multiple times. We'll regroup and come back stronger. Go Braves! 🧢🔴⚪⚫
