Tough Loss in Extra Innings

Hey Braves fans, what a roller-coaster of a game against the Mets today. We started off strong but couldn't hold on, losing a nail-biter 3-2 in the 10th inning. 😢

Early Momentum

The top of the 2nd inning gave us something to cheer about as Ramon Laureano reached on an infield single and then stole second. Orlando Arcia drove him home with a single to right, putting us ahead 1-0. Great hustle by Laureano and clutch hitting by Arcia! 🙌

Lindor's Big Hit

The Mets answered back in the bottom of the 3rd when Francisco Lindor hit a two-run homer to center field. That blast put the Mets ahead 2-1 and shifted the momentum their way. It was a tough blow, but our pitching kept us in it. 💪

Tying It Up

We showed some resilience in the top of the 6th. Marcell Ozuna walked and Matt Olson singled, setting the stage for Travis d'Arnaud who came through with a single to left, scoring Ozuna and tying the game at 2-2. The excitement was back! 🤩

Ninth-Inning Drama

The 9th inning had us on the edge of our seats. Eddie Rosario walked and Whit Merrifield came in to pinch run. Merrifield stole second but was caught trying to steal third. We couldn't capitalize, and the game remained tied heading into extra innings. 😬

Extra Innings Heartbreak

In the bottom of the 10th, Francisco Lindor grounded out and Pete Alonso was intentionally walked. After striking out two batters, it looked like we might escape the inning. But Jeff McNeil singled to right, scoring Alonso and securing the win for the Mets. It was a tough way to go down. 😤

Final Thoughts

Despite the loss, there were some bright spots in today's game. Strong performances by Orlando Arcia, Ramon Laureano, and Travis d'Arnaud kept us competitive. Our bullpen also did a solid job, but we just couldn't pull it together in the end. We'll bounce back; it's a long season, and there's plenty of baseball left. Go Braves! 🚀⚾

Looking forward to seeing how we bounce back in the next game. Stay positive, Braves Country! 🌟
