Tough Loss in St. Louis šŸ˜”

Hey Braves fans, itā€™s time to dissect the game today, and unfortunately, it was a rough one. Our beloved Braves fell to the St. Louis Cardinals 4-1. Let's break down what happened.

A Slow Start āš¾ļø

The game started with Jarred Kelenic hitting two singles early on, but he got caught stealing in the 1st inning, and our top of the order couldn't capitalize. Ozzie Albies and Marcell Ozuna struggled to get on base, and we ended the 1st inning with no runs.

Pitching Duel šŸŽÆ

Both teams pitched fantastically in the early innings. Bryce Elder kept the Cardinals scoreless until the bottom of the 3rd inning when Alec Burleson doubled in two runs, putting the Cardinals ahead 2-0. Our bats couldn't find an answer to their pitching as strikeouts mounted, especially in the 4th and 5th innings.

Struggles at the Plate šŸ„²

The middle innings were a tough watch. Adam Duvall and Ramon Laureano had a difficult time making contact. Despite some aggressive swings, we couldnā€™t seem to get men on base to create scoring opportunities.

Late Inning Efforts šŸ™

Things got interesting in the 8th inning. Ramon Laureano smacked a double to left, and Sean Murphy came in as a pinch hitter, reaching on an infield single. A clutch RBI single by Jarred Kelenic brought Laureano home, making it 2-1. Unfortunately, Ozzie Albies grounded out, and our rally was cut short.

Heartbreaking 8th āš”ļø

In the bottom of the 8th, the Cardinals extended their lead. After Goldschmidt and Brendan Donovan drove in runs, it became 4-1. We tried our best in the 9th inning, with Matt Olson walking and Austin Riley singling to create a chance. However, Adam Duvall struck out to end the game.

Final Thoughts šŸ’

Itā€™s a frustrating result, especially with many of our hitters struggling tonight. But itā€™s just one game, and there's always another day. Let's keep our heads up and continue to support our Braves!

Take care, and letā€™s look forward to the next game. Go Braves! āš¾ļøā¤ļø
