Game Recap: Blue Jays vs Orioles

What a game we had today at the Rogers Centre! The Toronto Blue Jays managed to bounce back and secure a solid 5-2 win against our rivals, the Baltimore Orioles. Here's the breakdown of how it all went down.Pitching Duel Early On
The game started off slow but intense. Neither team managed to score in the first five innings. Our pitchers were on point, not allowing a single hit! Kudos to the pitching staff for keeping the Orioles batters in check. The Orioles’ pitching also gave us a hard time, with strikeouts all around — including a frustrating one for George Springer who struck out twice early on.
️6th Inning Explosion
Things started to heat up in the 6th inning. The Orioles' Jackson Holliday homered to right-center, putting them up 1-0. But the Blue Jays weren't going to let that slide! The bottom of the 6th was absolutely electric. Vladimir Guerrero Jr. singled to right and then Alejandro Kirk put us on the board with a massive 391-foot homer, scoring Guerrero Jr. and Spencer Horwitz who had singled earlier.
The momentum didn't stop there. Daulton Varsho followed up with a double, and then Ernie Clement and Addison Barger with clutch hits and smart base-running piled on the runs. By the end of the inning, we were leading 5-1! Go Jays!
Locking It Down
Kudos to our bullpen for shutting the door on the Orioles for the rest of the game. In the 8th inning, the Orioles did manage to score one more run, making it 5-2, but that was all they were getting! Cabrera and Green held their ground, ensuring no further damage.Final Moments
Top of the 9th inning, and we were all biting our nails. Henderson struck out swinging, O'Hearn grounded out, and Rutschman lined out to center, sealing the deal for us. What a performance!
