A Tough Day in the Mile-High City 😓

Well, Red Sox Nation, it was a rough one today against the Rockies. From the get-go, it just wasn't our night. The final score read 20-7 in favor of Colorado, and it felt like our boys never really found their footing. There were a few highlights, but overall, the Rockies' offense was unstoppable.

Initial Struggles and Rockies' Domination âš¾

The game started with us going three up, three down in the top of the 1st. Unfortunately, things spiraled from there as Ezequiel Tovar launched a homer to left (412 feet) to put the Rockies up early. Despite a nice effort from Rafael Devers with a double in the 2nd, a fielding error allowed us our first run, but it wasn't enough to stop the Rockies' momentum.

Home Run Parade at Coors Field 🙄

The bottom of the 3rd and 4th innings were particularly brutal, with Colorado extending their lead with multiple homers including a three-run shot by Jacob Stallings and another by Ryan McMahon. We found ourselves down 13-2 after just four innings. Jarren Duran did manage to hit a solo homer in the 5th to show some fight, but it was a drop in the ocean by that point.

Never Give Up Spirit Shines Bright 💪

Despite the discouraging scoreline, our Red Sox didn’t throw in the towel. Rafael Devers and Jarren Duran kept battling. In the 8th inning, David Hamilton doubled to left followed by a sacrifice fly from Wilyer Abreu to bring in two more. In the 9th, Romy González and Ceddanne Rafaela gave us a glimpse of hope with back-to-back singles, setting the stage for Jarren Duran's triple to right, which scored two more. Even though these late-game heroics couldn't turn the tide, they did remind us of our team’s resilience.

Looking Forward 🌅

A 20-7 loss is never easy to swallow, but let's keep our heads up, Red Sox Nation. Baseball is a long season of ups and downs. Tonight was a tough night, but there's always the next game to look forward to. Let's keep supporting our boys, and hope they bounce back stronger in the upcoming games. Go Sox! 🚀👊
