The game started with some patience at the plate as Ian Happ got on base with a walk. Unfortunately, the first inning ended scoreless for our Cubbies, despite Cody Bellinger also drawing a walk.Bottom of the 1st Inning
A bit of a scare for us with Lenyn Sosa singling to right, but Justin Steele kept his cool and struck out three Sox batters to keep them off the board.

Nico Hoerner singled to right, but the inning fizzled out. The White Sox managed to score first after a fielding error by Hoerner led to a run.

Both teams held steady, with Dansby Swanson and Miguel Amaya putting the ball in play but not capitalizing. On the mound, Steele continued to shine, keeping the Sox to their single run.Top of the 5th Inning
Finally, the Cubs broke through! Cody Bellinger singled and scored on a double by Isaac Paredes. Tied ballgame!

Our bullpen did the job when Michael Rucker and Duane Underwood Jr. held the fort. Special mention to Neris for closing it perfectly, earning the save. Even with an error in the 9th, Neris composed himself and struck out Robert Jr. and Benintendi to seal the win.Overall, it was a fantastic team performance highlighted by clutch hitting and superb pitching.
