Our pitching staff was absolutely stellar today. From the start, it was clear that our pitchers were on a mission. They kept the Cubs bats silent throughout the match, not allowing a single run across the board. While the game seemed to be a pitching duel for the majority, Jose Altuve brought the magic in the bottom of the 5th inning. With a beautiful swing, he launched a homer to left, a 347-foot bomb that not only brought in Luis Guillorme from second but also sealed the game’s only two runs. His ability to shine in critical moments makes him a true fan favorite.
Tight Defense and Clutch Plays
The defense stood tall behind our dominant pitching. The Cubs had a few chances, especially with runners in scoring positions, but our boys kept calm and executed flawlessly.
