Cubs Triumph in a Thrilling 10-Inning Battle Against Giants! ⚾️

What a game, Cubs fans! Our Cubbies pulled off a nail-biting victory against the Giants, winning 5-3 in an action-packed 10-inning showdown.

Early Stalemate 🥱

The game started slow with both teams going scoreless through the first two innings. The Giants and Cubs both had their chances but couldn't capitalize early on.

Third Inning Surge! 🚀

Things turned around in the 3rd inning when Pete Crow-Armstrong was hit by a pitch and then made a daring steal to third base. Nico Hoerner stepped up next and smashed a two-run homer to left field. Our boy Seiya Suzuki followed with a triple, allowing Cody Bellinger to score. By the end of the inning, our Cubs were up 3-0!

Giants Battle Back 😮

The Giants didn't stay quiet for long. In the 6th inning, they managed to even the score with three runs thanks to key hits from Jorge Soler and Luis Matos. As stressful as it was to see our lead vanish, our boys kept their cool.

Late-Inning Drama 😬

Both teams struggled to get ahead through the 7th, 8th, and 9th innings. Nico Hoerner and Seiya Suzuki made significant plays, but we just couldn’t get any more runs on the board. Our bullpen held strong, preventing the Giants from scoring as well.

Heroics in the 10th! 💥

The 10th inning saw a change in fortune. With Bellinger starting on second base, Ian Happ launched a two-run homer to centerfield! This put us back ahead 5-3! Our relief pitcher, Hodge, sealed the deal by shutting down the Giants and securing our victory.

Final Thoughts 📢

What a fantastic game, Cubs fans! Big shoutouts to Nico Hoerner for his early homer and defensive plays, and to Ian Happ for that clutch home run in the 10th. Our team showed resilience and determination. Let's keep this momentum going! Go Cubs! 💙✊🧢
