The game started quietly, with both teams unable to score in the first inning. In the top of the 2nd, Tyler Stephenson hit a single to center, setting the stage for Noelvi Marte's magnificent 395-foot homer to left field, giving us an early 2-0 lead! 
Fairchild Extends the Lead 
Our momentum continued in the top of the 5th when Stuart Fairchild launched a solo homer to left, stretching our lead to 3-0. The Yankees' bats were held in check until the 7th inning, thanks to stellar pitching and tight defense.

In the bottom of the 7th, the Yankees tried to rally. Anthony Volpe doubled to left, driving in two runs and cutting our lead to 3-2. But our bullpen came through in the clutch. Alexis Diaz closed the door in the 9th inning after a tense start with a leadoff walk. A key double play and a flyout sealed the game!
