Both teams struggled to get on the scoreboard in the early innings. Our defense did an outstanding job, with Masyn Winn, Alec Burleson, and Paul Goldschmidt making key plays. Our bullpen did an exceptional job of protecting the lead. Ryan Helsley shut down the Guardians in the 9th inning with Thomas Saggese and Brendan Donovan making the crucial defensive plays to finish things off.
