Disappointing Start for the Rockies 😢

The game started off on a rough note for our Rockies. Despite our hopes, the Tigers came out swinging and took an early lead. After a quick 1-2-3 from the Rockies, Riley Greene homered to right on the first pitch he saw, setting the tone. Unfortunately, it didn’t stop there. The Tigers continued to power through our pitching, with Kerry Carpenter tripling to score another and Trey Sweeney hitting a massive 407-foot homer to bring the score to 6-0 by the end of the first inning.

Rockies Show Some Fight 💪

Though the first inning was a struggle, we battled back. In the top of the second, Ryan McMahon gave us a glimmer of hope with a solo homer to right, making it 6-1. The team didn’t stop there. In the fifth inning, the bats finally came alive! Ezequiel Tovar smacked a double to center, scoring Jake Cave and Nolan Jones, then Brenton Doyle singled to bring Tovar home. This brought us closer at 7-4.

Tigers Hold the Lead 🐯

Despite our efforts, the Tigers’ bullpen was rock solid. The Tigers managed another run in the fourth bringing it to 7-1 before we made our rally. Tyler Holton and the rest of the bullpen managed to shut us down after that, keeping our guys at bay.

Our own pitching had moments of brilliance too, with Chivilli and Peralta getting crucial outs when we needed them, but the damage had already been done in the first inning. It seems like no matter how hard our boys fought, the early lead was just too much to overcome.

Looking Forward 🏔️

Despite the loss, there are still positives to take away. McMahon’s home run and Tovar's clutch double were promising signs, and our bullpen showed some resilience late in the game. The Rockies have the potential, we just need to put it all together. Keep your spirits high, Rockies fans! Let’s hope for a better result next time.

Until then, keep believing and rooting for our Rockies! 🌟🖤💜
