Tough Night at Dodger Stadium
What a night at Dodger Stadium, folks. If you missed the game, here's the lowdown, but brace yourselves, fellow Dodgers fans, it wasn’t our night. The Colorado Rockies managed to take the win with a final score of 4-1.
Starting Strong But Fading Fast
Mookie Betts, Shohei Ohtani, and Freddie Freeman all started the game strong, setting the expectations high. However, the Rockies' defense was just on another level, keeping our boys from making their mark early on. The first inning saw some action from both sides but ended in a scoreless start, making it clear we were in for a tough battle.Rockies Take Lead
The Rockies took the lead in the top of the 3rd inning with Ezequiel Tovar scoring off a single by Kris Bryant, followed by a costly error that let two more runs score, making it 3-0. They added another homer by Tovar in the 4th, pushing their lead to 4-0.
Despite a solid double by Gavin Lux in the 8th inning that finally put us on the board, the Dodgers couldn’t capitalize on the moment, and that ended up being our only run of the game.
Missed Opportunities
The Dodgers had their chances but just couldn’t seem to find their rhythm against the Rockies’ pitchers. Our pitchers did their best, but those Rockies runs proved to be too much to come back from. With strikeouts aplenty and grounding out becoming the theme of the night, the atmosphere was tense, and unfortunately, our boys couldn't swing it back.Looking Forward
As a die-hard Dodgers fan, tonight was tough. Hats off to the Rockies; they played a great game. But let’s not forget, baseball is all about those ups and downs. We’ve seen our boys bounce back from worse, and there’s still plenty of season left to turn things around.
