Rough Outing in Milwaukee
Well, Rockies fans, that was a tough one to watch. Facing off against the Brewers in Milwaukee, it seemed like our bats just couldn't get going. From the outset, the Brewers’ pitching kept us at bay, and despite the few moments we got on base, we couldn’t capitalize.Brewers Early Surge
The trouble started early in the bottom of the 1st. Jackson Chourio got on base with a single, and Christian Yelich followed with another hit. It looked like we might escape the inning without damage, but an infield single by Brice Turang brought in Chourio for the first run. A sacrifice fly by Rhys Hoskins added another, putting us in a 2-0 hole right away.
Ortiz Home Run Extends the Lead
Things took a turn for the worse in the 4th when Joey Ortiz hit a two-run homer off Durbin to left-center. That extended the Brewers' lead to 4-0, and it was becoming clear we had a mountain to climb. Despite some good defensive plays, allowing the Brewers to rally two quick runs in the 5th from back-to-back doubles by Contreras and Turang finished off the scoring at 5-0 against us.Pitching Shifts But No Breakthroughs
On a brighter note, Chivilli and Kinley kept the Brewers from doing any further damage beyond the 5th inning. But despite getting a couple of walks late in the game (shoutout to Tyler Freeman for trying twice!), the Rockies couldn't muster up any offensive momentum to turn things around. The Brewers' bullpen continued to shut our lineup down, successfully capping a tough matchup for us.Looking Ahead
A shutout loss stings, no doubt about it! But we'll regroup, work on those bats, and look forward to bouncing back in the next one!

Rockies faithful, keep your heads up and look forward to the next challenge.
