Tough Day at the Office for Rockies
As a die-hard Colorado Rockies fan, it's never easy to watch our team struggle, especially against division rivals like the San Francisco Giants. Last night's game was a tough pill to swallow, with the Rockies falling to the Giants in a lopsided 4-14 loss. Our hitters, including Ezequiel Tovar, Brendan Rodgers, and Ryan McMahon, struggled to find their rhythm against the Giants' pitching, resulting in a quick three-and-out in the top of the first.Giants' Offensive Onslaught
The second inning saw the Giants extend their lead with Jorge Soler and Thairo Estrada pushing the score to 5-0. The Rockies showed some life in the third inning when Hunter Goodman doubled and later scored off a hit by Tovar. Elehuris Montero then stepped up, driving in two runs to narrow the gap to 5-3. Nonetheless, the Giants swiftly countered in their half, maintaining a lead we could never quite challenge.Optimism briefly flickered in the sixth when Goodman knocked in another run, making it 6-4. However, that's as close as we'd get for the remainder of the game. The Giants' bats continued to hammer away at our pitching staff, culminating in a massive eight-run lead by the end of the eighth inning. Our bullpen, including Nick Mears and Tyler Kinley, struggled to find answers for the Giants' lineup, which seemed to have our number at every turn.
