Rockies' Struggles Early On

Hey Rockies fans! 😊 Yesterday's game against the Giants was a tough one to swallow. The Giants got off to a quick start in the first inning with a two-run homer by Willy Adames. He took advantage of Rafael Devers' walk and sent a 402-foot blast over the left field wall. 😞 Despite the rocky first inning, our pitcher managed to hang in there and close the inning with no further damage.

Falling Further Behind

The second inning saw the Giants' rookie Heliot Ramos sending a shockwave with a three-run homer to left-center, stretching their lead to 5-0. 🥺 Our Rockies lineup struggled to find their rhythm early, with several strikeouts across the board. Going into the fifth inning, we desperately needed someone to ignite the spark.

Tovar's Heroics Not Enough

Finally, in the top of the fifth, Ezequiel Tovar gave us something to cheer about! With two runners on base, he smashed a 427-foot homer to center field, narrowing the Giants' lead to 5-3. 🙌 But unfortunately, the momentum didn't carry through the later innings. The Giants managed an additional run courtesy of an Eldridge sacrifice fly, making the final score 6-3. Our guys put up a good fight, but those darn Giants just had our number this time.

Looking Ahead

A shoutout to Blaine Crim and Kyle Karros who put balls in play and kept fighting throughout the game. Let’s tip our cap to the Giants, but the Rockies will be back to rock the next game! Stay strong, Rockies fans! There's plenty of baseball left to play. 🤘💪
