Tough Loss in Atlanta 😓

Hey Tigers fans, tough outing today in Atlanta as we fell to the Braves 2-1. We had some moments of brilliance, but sadly just couldn't string enough hits together to turn the tide.

First Inning Struggles

The game didn't start out great as we saw Matt Vierling strike out looking and Wenceel Pérez ground out to second. Our bright spot was Riley Greene drawing a walk, but Mark Canha struck out swinging to end the inning. Meanwhile, the Braves took an early lead with an RBI triple by Albies and an RBI single by Ozuna. 😤

Can't Find a Groove

The second inning saw Colt Keith with a single, but that was followed by outs from Justyn-Henry Malloy and Zach McKinstry. On the defensive side, we had an error by Gio Urshela but managed to escape without further damage. By the end of the third inning, the Braves were holding onto their 2-0 lead.

A Ray of Hope 🌟

In the sixth inning, Riley Greene tripled and was brought home by a single from Gio Urshela, narrowing the lead to 2-1. It gave us hope, but unfortunately, that was all we could manage as the Braves' bullpen shut us down for the rest of the game.

Late Inning Tension

Coming into the final innings, our bullpen did a stellar job, not allowing another run. Will Vest and Andrew Chafin did a fantastic job keeping us in the game. But our bats just couldn't come alive in the clutch. In the ninth, Justyn-Henry Malloy struck out, Zach McKinstry lined out to center, and Carson Kelly flied out to second, sealing our fate.

Final Thoughts 💭

There's no denying it was a tough loss, but there were some positives to take away. Riley Greene showed some spark, and our bullpen was solid. We just need to string together more consistent hitting. Keep the faith, Tigers fans. We're gonna bounce back! 🐯⚾

Let's go, Tigers! Roar on! 🐅🔊
