Fantastic Start Sets the Tone 
What a game, Tigers fans! Right from the jump, our boys in blue set the stage for an unforgettable win over the Cleveland Guardians with a final score of 8-2. The action started early in the top of the 1st inning with Matt Vierling doubling to left field. This put the pressure on Cleveland immediately. Following that, Justyn-Henry Malloy sent a rocket to left field with a 392-foot homer, bringing in Vierling. Just like that, we were up 2-0! 
Consistent Offense and Strong Defense 
Wenceel Perez kept the momentum going in the top of the 2nd inning by singling to right. A couple of crucial outs later, Jake Rogers tripled to center, scoring on a throwing error by Angel Martinez. This brought Perez home, making it 4-0, Tigers! Although Cleveland managed to squeeze in a run in the bottom of the 2nd, our defense held strong, and Jake Rogers made sure that was the last of their early threats.Stretching the Lead 
By the time the 6th inning rolled around, Riley Greene grounded out, but Mark Canha doubled to left, and Wenceel Perez followed up with a double to center, bringing Canha home. Gio Urshela then hit a sacrifice fly to left, scoring Perez. With the score at 6-1, the Guardians had no answers for our rock-solid defense and pitching.Closing the Deal 
Entering the top of the 9th inning, Colt Keith homered to right, extending our lead to 8-1. Cleveland Guardians managed to add one more run in the bottom of the 9th due to a hit by pitch situation, hitting Austin Hedges and subsequent singles loading the bases. However, Andrew Chafin relieved Lucas and closed the game, striking out Josh Naylor and David Fry to seal the victory. An excellent team effort showcased both offensive prowess and defensive excellence. Way to go, Tigers!
