Tigers Power Show At The Start
What a fantastic way to kick off the game!
The Tigers came out swinging, and boy did they swing hard! Jahmai Jones smashed a solo home run to left field, traveling a whopping 400 feet! Soon after, Wenceel Pérez joined the homer parade with a beautiful 395-foot blast to left center. It was thrilling to see our boys establish an early lead of 2-0! Maintaining The Lead
In the second inning, Dillon Dingler doubled his way onto base and Javier Báez came through with a clutch base hit to bring him home, furthering our lead to 3-0. The Guardians managed to score a run in the bottom of the second but that didn't hinder our spirits! Our pitching staff held it down with solid performances, keeping the Guardians at bay. Riley Greene added some fireworks with a powerful 411-foot home run in the fourth inning, boosting the Tigers' lead to 4-1. Another highlight was Kerry Carpenter stepping in as the designated hitter late in the game and filling in seamlessly for Jones. Stellar defense kept the Guardians from making any serious comeback threats.Locking Down The Win
The final innings were all about maintaining the edge our guys had created. The bullpen did a tremendous job. With Kahnle, Holton, and Finnegan keeping the chaos at bay, and finally Vest sealing the deal in the ninth with three strikeouts! It was nail-biting at times, especially when the Guardians managed to score their final run in the eighth, but our Tigers stayed strong and closed it out with a victorious 4-2 finish. I loved seeing the determination and teamwork on display. Go Tigers!
