Tough Loss Against the Angels

Hey Tigers fans, it was a tough night for our boys as they fell to the Angels with a final score of 0-5. 😥

Early Missed Opportunities

We kicked things off in the 1st inning with Matt Vierling reaching base on an infield single. However, he got caught stealing second, and we couldn't capitalize after a nice double by Riley Greene. Unfortunately, that set the tone for most of the game.

Angels' Home Run Party

The Angels got on the board in the 2nd inning with a solo homer by Miguel Sanó. Willie Calhoun added another solo shot in the 4th, and by the 5th inning, things went from bad to worse. Nolan Schanuel and Luis Rengifo both drove in runs, making it a five-run ballgame and putting our Tigers in a deep hole.

Lack of Offensive Spark

Our hitters just couldn't get anything going. The Angels' pitchers were on fire, and we were mainly held to singles by Riley Greene and Wenceel Perez. Akil Baddoo and Justyn-Henry Malloy particularly had a rough time, striking out multiple times. 😣

Solid Defense, but Not Enough

Our defense held strong in many innings, especially with some nice plays by Gio Urshela and Carson Kelly, but the offensive struggles overshadowed the defensive efforts.

Looking Ahead

While tonight's game was tough, we remain hopeful for the future. Our young players like Riley Greene are showing promise, and with some adjustments, we can bounce back stronger. Keep believing, Tigers fans! 🐯💪

Here's to a better outing next time! Let's keep our heads up and continue to support our Tigers. 🧡⚾
