Tough Loss in Chicago! 0-2 😞

Our beloved Houston Astros battled hard but came up short against the Chicago White Sox, losing 0-2. Despite some solid plays, we just couldn't get the momentum going.

Pitching Duel Early On ⚾️

Both teams showed strong pitching in the opening innings. Jose Altuve tried to set the tone but was unfortunately caught popping out to shortstop. Alex Bregman did manage to get a single to left but we couldn't capitalize.

White Sox Break Through 😣

The White Sox scored their first run in the bottom of the 3rd. A wild pitch by Valdez allowed runners to advance, followed by Andrew Vaughn grounding into a fielder's choice to bring home the first run. We then found ourselves trailing 0-1.

Second Run Hurt Us 😩

Their second run came in the 5th after Corey Julks walked and Luis Robert Jr. scored Julks on a fielder's choice. Our defense held strong otherwise, but the damage was done.

Astros' Close Scoring Chances 😬

We had our moments. Trey Cabbage doubled to right in the 3rd and later singled in the 5th, but was unfortunately caught stealing. In the 9th inning, Jon Singleton and Mauricio Dubòn got on base with some clutch singles, but Victor Caratini grounded out to end our rally hopes.

Final Thoughts 💭

It was a tough one, folks. Our pitching held up for the most part, but we couldn't string together the hits when it mattered. Let's regroup and come back stronger! Go Astros! 🌟
