Tough Loss for the Astros in Cincinnati 
Hey Astros fans! Well, that was a nail-biter from start to finish, but unfortunately, we came up just short in our matchup against the Reds, losing 0-1. Let’s break down the game inning-by-inning.
Pitcher’s Duel Early On
In the first inning, we started off slow. Jose Altuve grounded out, Yordan Alvarez lined out to first, and although Yainer Diaz managed to earn a walk, Alex Bregman flew out to left, leaving us scoreless.
On the defensive side, our pitching kept the Reds in check. They had only one hit from Tyler Stephenson, but Hunter Brown held steady and got us out of the inning unscathed.
Minor Threats, No Runs
The second inning saw Jeremy Peña try to get something going with a single and stolen base. Ben Gamel walked, but Chas McCormick grounded into a double play to end our threat.
Again, Brown held the Reds scoreless. There was more action defensively with another strikeout and only one hit allowed, proving that our pitching was on point tonight!
Searching for Offense
The third through sixth innings were all about missed opportunities. Our guys hit some balls hard but couldn't find the gaps. Notably, Jason Heyward and Jon Singleton grounded out, and Bregman went down looking in the fourth. On the defensive side, Brown continued dealing, allowing very few threats from the Reds.
Seventh-inning Setback 
The bottom of the seventh inning was where the Reds got us. Ty France launched a homer off Bryan Abreu to give the Reds the lead. Another hit and a walk had the Reds briefly threatening more, but Abreu shut it down.
In response, we couldn't capitalize in the top of the 8th despite Altuve drawing a walk. Alvarez and Diaz couldn’t move him around.
Final Inning Frustration 
In the ninth inning, we turned to our big bats for some magic, but it just wasn't meant to be. Singleton flied out, Peña popped out, and Gamel struck out swinging. Art Warren's pitching for the Reds closed the door on any hopes of a comeback.
A Battle to the End
We fought hard, with solid pitching and defensive plays throughout the game. Hunter Brown and Bryan Abreu, despite giving up the home run, put up solid performances on the mound. It just came down to some missed opportunities at the plate. We know our bats will wake up soon!
