Astros Start Strong in the First

Our beloved Jose Altuve kicked things off with a double to center, setting the tone early 🍀. Kyle Tucker followed up with an infield single, putting runners on the corners. Then, Alex Bregman came through with a clutch sacrifice fly to right, allowing Altuve to score and giving us a 1-0 lead! Although Yainer Diaz and Zach Dezenzo both struck out, the Astros looked sharp right out of the gate.

Consistent Pitching Holds the Guardians in Check

The Guardians got their first runner on base when Steven Kwan walked, but a quick double play erased the threat. Jose Ramirez drew a walk and stole second, but Josh Naylor grounded out to end the inning. Our pitchers were on 🔥!

More Action in the Fourth and Fifth

Jake Meyers struck out to start the fourth, but Mauricio Dubon walked and advanced to second on a wild pitch. Grae Kessinger then walked, and Jose Altuve doubled again, pushing Kessinger to third. Kessinger scored on another wild pitch, and Altuve came home on Tucker's single, elevating us to a 3-0 lead.

The fifth inning was even better! Victor Caratini launched a 350-foot homer to right, followed by Zach Dezenzo's 446-foot bomb to center 🧨! Meyers walked, but we couldn't add more. Still, solid hitting padded our lead, making it 5-0.

Relievers Keep Guardians Off the Board

The Guardians struggled against our bullpen. Ronel Blanco, Misael Tamarez, and Jose Arrighetti were stellar, keeping the Guardians scoreless through the sixth inning. The seventh and eighth innings were particularly dominant, with Arrighetti striking out two.

Guardians' Late Push and Final Stand

Hunter Hader took over in the ninth. The Guardians managed to score twice on hits from David Fry and a groundout by Angel Martinez. However, Hader held his ground, forcing a flyout to end the game.

Final Score: 5-2! 🌟

Way to go, Astros! A fantastic team effort with great pitching, timely hitting, and solid defense. Let's keep this momentum rolling! 🚀
