Dominant Pitching and Timely Hitting Lift A's Past Astros! 💪🏼

What a game from our Oakland Athletics! A strong performance on both ends of the field resulted in a commanding 4-0 victory against the usually formidable Houston Astros.

Strong Defensive Stance in the Early Innings 🚫

The Astros threatened early but our defense was rock solid. Jose Altuve started off with a bunt single, but we responded in style. A double play from Bregman and then Yainer Diaz striking out looking kept them scoreless in the first. Our boys did great keeping the Astros at bay through the first few innings.

Explosive Third Inning 💥

The third inning was where the magic happened. Max Schuemann and Lawrence Butler both singled, setting up Miguel Andujar for a double to left field. A fielding error by Dubón allowed Butler and Schuemann to score! Then, JJ Bleday came through with a clutch double to bring in Andujar. This explosive inning put us up 3-0.

Newest A Addition Keeps It Rolling in the Fourth ⚾️

Our momentum didn’t stop there. After Zack Gelof walked and stole second, Brett Harris grounded him to third and Schuemann singled to score Gelof, adding another tally to the scoreboard. This secured our 4-0 lead, showing everyone that Oakland isn’t to be underestimated this season!

Lockdown Pitching Seals the Deal 🔒

From the fifth inning onward, our pitchers didn't yield an inch. We saw amazing work from our starters and relievers. Erceg and Miller came in clutch, preserving the shutout and ensuring no late heroics from the Astros.

Victory for the Green and Gold 🎉

Our A’s shut down the Astros from start to finish. Key hits, solid defense, and impeccable pitching came together for a statement win. Bravo, boys! Let's keep this momentum rolling into our next game!

GO A's! 💚💛
