Royals Take the Win in Oakland!

What a game for our Kansas City Royals as they power through the Athletics with a final score of 4-2! Starting off strong, Mike Yastrzemski set the tone with a double in the first inning, followed by a stealthy play from Bobby Witt Jr. who managed to reach base with an infield single, ultimately scoring the first run thanks to a throwing error by the A’s catcher, Shea Langeliers. That early lead with Witt Jr.'s assertiveness gave us the momentum we needed! 
Adding Insurance Runs in the 5th
The 5th inning saw some fireworks as our bats got lively again! Michael Massey singled to center, setting the stage. After Yastrzemski's single, Vinnie Pasquantino delivered a crucial double that brought home both Yastrzemski and Massey. What a moment to extend our lead to 3-0! The Athletics made a pitching change, but that couldn’t stop our Royals!
Nailing It Down in the 9th
We knew the A’s wouldn’t go down without a fight, and they scored a run in the 8th to make it 3-2. But Randal Grichuk, pinch-hitting for John Rave, got on base in the 9th with a single. Tyler Tolbert took over as a pinch-runner, immediately stealing second and advancing to third on a fly-out. With Witt Jr. delivering yet again with a single, Tolbert scored to put us up 4-2. In the bottom of the inning, José Estévez shut the door on any comeback hopes by the Athletics, securing our win!
