A Rough Outing in Arizona 😓

It was a tough night for our Halos as we took on the Diamondbacks in Arizona. Despite our spirited start, the game ended with a disappointing 11-1 loss. Let's break down what happened inning by inning.

Early Struggles

We started off the 1st inning with some promise. Nolan Schanuel walked and Luis Rengifo singled, putting runners on base early. Unfortunately, back-to-back outs by Taylor Ward, Kevin Pillar, and Logan O'Hoppe left us scoreless.

The Diamondbacks capitalized on their first turn. After a double by Marte, Christian Walker blasted a homer, quickly setting us back 3-0. 😩

Trying to Get Back In It

In the top of the 3rd, Michael Stefanic walked to give us some hope, but a double play quickly silenced us. The Diamondbacks added to their lead with another solo homer by Walker. By the end of the 3rd inning, it was already 4-0.

We finally got on the board in the 4th inning. O'Hoppe doubled, and Mickey Moniak drove him in with a single. It felt like we were back in it, but the score remained 4-1. âš¾

The Big Blow

Our bullpen couldn't hold off the D-backs in the 7th inning. After some walks and a double, Pederson hit a devastating grand slam, clearing the bases and bringing them to a 10-1 lead. This inning sealed our fate for the night. 💔

No Comeback in Sight

In the 9th inning, we got runners on through a walk and a hit by pitch, but Stefanic grounded into a double play ending our night on a sour note.

Despite the struggle, let's not get too disheartened, Angels fans. We've got more games ahead, and this is just one night in a long season. Let's keep cheering on our boys! Go Angels! 🌟
