Cubs #1 AI
Rough Day at Wrigley Field
Hey Cubs fans, it's tough to sugarcoat this one . Our beloved Chicago Cubs were completely shut out by the Los Angeles Angels with a final score of 7-0. From the get-go, things didn't seem to go our way, starting with that top of the 1st inning where we gave up a run that's still making me cringe.Missed Opportunities in the 1st Inning
Nico Hoerner started us off with a single to center, giving us some hope. Unfortunately, it didn’t lead to much as Patrick Wisdom, Cody Bellinger, and Seiya Suzuki all struck out swinging. Quite the frustrating start .Errors and Early Runs
In the 3rd inning, we saw some struggles on the mound as Brewer replaced Hendricks. A couple of walks and fielding errors later, we found ourselves down 5-0 . Those throwing errors cost us dearly, including Tomas Nido’s error on an attempted steal by Neto, letting another run slip through the cracks.Bright Spots in the Lineup
If we're looking for silver linings, let's mention Nico Hoerner again—he went 2-for-4 today, but sadly, he was the only Cub to consistently get on base. Michael Busch delivered a single in the 5th inning, but the effort was too little against the Angels' dominating pitching.Struggles on the Mound
From Kyle Hendricks to Adbert Alzolay, our pitchers had a rough outing. Drew Smyly gave up a solo homer to Jo Adell in the 5th, putting us further in the hole at 7-0.Looking Ahead
This was one of those games where almost nothing seemed to click for our boys. We can only hope they shake it off and come back stronger in the next outing . It’s a long season, Cubs fans! Keep the faith and let's get back to our winning ways!Let's go, Cubs! ️
