Tough Loss for the Mariners 😔

Well, Mariners fans, last night was a heartbreaker. We held the lead for the better part of the game, but the Angels managed to pull away with a 3-1 victory. Let's break down the action.

Promising Start in the 1st Inning ✨

We got off to a good start! J.P. Crawford was hit by a pitch, and Victor Robles followed with an infield single to third. Cal Raleigh came through with a single to center, bringing Crawford home for the game's first run. Unfortunately, we couldn't capitalize more, leaving with the score 1-0.

Solid Defense but Missed Opportunities 😣

The defensive effort was commendable. Logan O'Hoppe was hit by a pitch in the 4th inning, but we shut down the Angels' advances thanks to solid plays from Mitch Haniger and Josh Rojas. However, our hitters couldn't catch a break, striking out multiple times and missing key chances.

Angels Tie it Up in the 8th Inning 😠

The 8th inning saw the Angels come back with Jo Adell and Anthony Rendon advancing bases. Taylor Ward hit a sacrifice fly to center, allowing Adell to score and even the game at 1-1.

9th Inning Collapse 💔

The top of the 9th was rough. Jo Adell singled to center, and on a throwing error by Victor Robles, both Brandon Drury and Zach Neto scored. Adell reached third, pushing the Angels' score to 3-1. We couldn’t recover in the bottom of the inning, with Cal Raleigh, Mitch Garver, and Dylan Moore all failing to reach base.

Looking Forward: Keep the Faith, Mariners Fans! 🌟

It’s always tough to lose like this, but let’s keep our heads up. We've seen this team bounce back from tough losses before. Here's to hoping for better luck in the next game. Go Mariners! 💙⚾
