Victory for the Halos! Angels beat Nationals 6-4

Hey Angels fans! 🌟 What a thrilling game we had against the Nationals today, pulling off that 6-4 victory! Let's break it down inning by inning.

Slow Start for Both Teams

The first few innings were a bit of a pitcher's duel, with both teams staying scoreless. Our boys had some early chances, with Zach Neto walking in the first and Taylor Ward's single. But it wasn't until the 4th inning that we got things cooking.

Fourth Inning Explosion! 💥

Brandon Drury started it off with a walk, followed by Mickey Moniak's single. With bases loaded, Jo Adell grounded into a fielder's choice, but an error by José Tena allowed Drury to score. Matt Thaiss walked to load the bases again, and Michael Stefanic grounded into a double play, but Moniak scored. Then, a clutch 3-RBI double by Kevin Pillar cleared the bases, making it 5-0! 🙌

Nationals Claw Back

In the bottom of the 8th, the Nationals showed some life with a homer by Jacob Young. They managed to score again on a single and a wild pitch, making it 6-2. In the 9th, things got tense as the Nationals loaded the bases and scored twice. But thanks to some solid fielding, we managed to hold them off for the win.

Key Performances

Conclusion

A fantastic win for our Angels! 🎉 Strong performances all around and some great clutch hitting secured the victory. Let's keep this momentum going! Go Halos! 🗽⚾
