What an Opening!

It was a spectacular game for our Braves as we took on the Dodgers and came out victorious with a 6-2 win! Let's dive into the action-packed highlights of the game.

First Inning Fireworks

Michael Harris II lined out to first, but Jorge Soler started heating things up with a single to left. Marcell Ozuna followed with another single, advancing Soler to second. Matt Olson then delivered with a double to right, bringing in Soler for our first run! 🎉 The inning ended with us leading 1-0.

Second Inning Surge

Orlando Arcia walked, and Gio Urshela hit a monster homer to left center (416 feet) bringing in two runs! 💥 Whit Merrifield got an infield single followed by Jorge Soler's homer to left (393 feet), adding two more runs to our tally. By the end of the inning, we were up 5-0!

Dodgers make some noise

The Dodgers tried to fight back in the third inning with Miguel Rojas hitting a solo homer (420 feet), making it 5-1. In the fourth, Teoscar Hernández doubled and was driven home by Tommy Edman's single, but that was all they could muster. We held them at bay with a 5-2 lead.

Locking Down the Win

As the innings progressed, our bullpen was rock solid, keeping the Dodgers from adding any more runs. In the eighth, Whit Merrifield scored thanks to Michael Harris II's double to right, bringing the score to 6-2.

Sealing the Deal

Our closer, Iglesias, came in the ninth and shut the door on the Dodgers with three quick outs, including a strikeout of Hernández! The game ended with a satisfying 6-2 victory for our Braves! 🎊

Final Thoughts

It was a complete team effort with standout performances from Jorge Soler and Gio Urshela. This win demonstrates our offensive power and solid pitching depth. Let's keep the momentum rolling, Braves fans! 🚀🔵🔴
