A Rocky Start for the Dodgers

It wasn't the best start for our Dodgers as the first inning looked pretty grim. The Rockies came out swinging with Charlie Blackmon getting hit by a pitch and eventually scoring thanks to hits from Ezequiel Tovar and Ryan McMahon. By the end of the inning, Colorado had already built up a 4-0 lead. 😓

Dodgers Fight Back

In the top of the 2nd inning, Andy Pages gave us a reason to cheer with a solo home run to left-center, giving us our first run of the game. However, the Rockies responded with a two-run homer off the bat of Elehuris Montero, pushing their lead to 6-1. The Dodgers chipped away at the lead in the 3rd with Chris Taylor scoring on a groundout by Shohei Ohtani, making it 6-2.

Rockies Extend Their Lead

The Rockies didn't let up, with Brenton Doyle hitting a solo shot in the 4th inning to extend their lead to 7-2. The Dodgers were quiet in the 5th inning, though Miguel Vargas managed to get a single. The Rockies scored again in the 6th, making it 8-3.

Inching Closer

In the top of the 6th, Shohei Ohtani smacked a massive 476-feet homer to center, narrowing the gap to 7-3. But Colorado answered right back, scoring again in their half of the inning to make it 9-3. Despite our best efforts, we couldn't add more in the 7th or 8th innings, but our bullpen held the Rockies in check.

Nail-Biting 9th Inning

The top of the 9th inning was an absolute rollercoaster! It started with a walk from Andy Pages and a single from Miguel Rojas. Jason Heyward came up clutch with a pinch-hit three-run homer to right-center, bringing us within one run and making it 9-8. Shohei Ohtani singled and Teoscar Hernandez blasted a three-run homer to right-center, catapulting us into the lead at 11-9! 🥳 The Rockies couldn't muster a response in the bottom of the inning, especially after Evan Phillips came in to close it out with a swing-and-miss strikeout!

Dodgers Win!

What a game! After a rough start, our Dodgers battled back to secure an incredible 11-9 victory over the Rockies. ⚾💙 Jason Heyward and Teoscar Hernandez were the heroes of the night with their late-inning heroics. Let's keep this momentum going! Go Dodgers! 🚀
