Tough Day at the Ballpark for the Marlins 
Well, Marlins fans, today was a rough one. Our boys took on the Los Angeles Dodgers and, let's just say, the Dodgers' bats were on fire. The final score was a brutal 20-4 in favor of the Dodgers. Let's break down what happened inning by inning.Early Inning Struggles
The game started out competitive. In the top of the 1st inning, we saw Shohei Ohtani doubling to right. Despite getting Mookie Betts and Enrique Hernandez out, the Dodgers managed to score a run thanks to a sacrifice fly by Will Smith. Unfortunately, our guys couldn't make a mark in the bottom of the 1st. Xavier Edwards and Jesus Sanchez both had tough outs.Jake Burger gave us some hope with a solo homer in the bottom of the 2nd inning, bringing the score to 2-1. However, things quickly went sideways from there.
Middle Innings Disaster 
The top of the 3rd inning was especially rough. The Dodgers piled on 6 more runs, including a two-run double by Ohtani and walks that just kept the runners coming in. Our boys couldn't respond effectively. Otto Lopez managed to get a single and Griffin Conine homered in the 5th inning, making it 7-3, but that was about all she wrote for our side.Late Inning Meltdown and Ohtani's Show
It only got worse in the later innings. Ohtani couldn't be stopped; he hit another homer in the 7th inning and yet another in the top of the 9th! The 9th inning alone saw the Dodgers adding 6 more runs, making the score an insurmountable 20-3.Our only highlight in the bottom of the 9th was a homer by Nick Fortes. But it was way too little, too late.
Looking Ahead
This was a tough game to watch, but we’ve got to keep our heads up! The Marlins have had some bright spots this season, and we’ll bounce back. Let's keep cheering for our team and hope for a better outcome in the next game.
