Heading into the final innings, the Dodgers' defense held strong, repelling whatever the Mets threw our way. Our boys proved they were not only capable of establishing an early lead but maintaining it by shutting down any attempt by the Mets to rally back.
In the end, the Dodgers walked off with a well-earned 3-0 victory, making this fan extremely proud. The highlights were undoubtedly Smith's early homer and the collective pitching efforts that kept the Mets scoreless across nine innings. A shoutout to Vargas for that crucial homer in the 6th that further cemented our dominance.
