Heartbreaker in Oakland 
The Dodgers faced off against the Athletics in what turned out to be a rollercoaster of a game. While we saw some early fireworks, Oakland ultimately came out on top in a 6-5 loss, but not without a late-game drama.Early Offense 
The game started off strong for the Dodgers with Teoscar Hernandez blasting a two-run homer to left-center, scoring Gavin Lux in the top of the first inning. Shohei Ohtani and Will Smith didn't manage to get on base, and Jason Heyward struck out looking to end the inning. The Dodgers were up 2-0 early.Defense Holds Steady 
Throughout the first three innings, our pitching and defense kept the A's off the board. Strikeouts from Butler and Langeliers, along with solid fielding, ensured that the Athletics remained scoreless through the early innings.Athletics Surge Back 
The tide began to turn in the fourth inning when Shea Langeliers and Seth Brown each hit solo homers to tie the game at 2-2. Our pitchers seemed to falter a bit, and Oakland capitalized on it. By the bottom of the fifth, they unleashed a barrage of hits, including a triple from Miguel Andujar and a two-run homer from Brent Rooker, pushing the score to 6-2.Missed Opportunities 
Despite having men on base in the 6th inning, Teoscar Hernandez struck out to end a rally. Later, wild pitches in the 7th inning moved runners into scoring positions, but the Dodgers failed to bring any home, leaving us frustrated.9th Inning Drama 
Just when it looked like the game was out of reach, Shohei Ohtani came up big in the top of the 9th with a massive 3-run homer to cut the deficit to 6-5! Enrique Hernandez and James Outman had gotten on base to set the stage for Ohtani's heroics. Unfortunately, the magic ended there as Will Smith grounded out to end the game.Final Score: 5-6 (Athletics Wins)
Though we didn't get the win, the effort in the 9th inning was heartening. Keep your heads up, Dodger fans! There's always the next game.
