The game started a bit tense with the Marlins' Xavier Edwards walking and stealing second, but our pitchers held their ground. The bottom of the 1st inning saw a pivotal moment when Brandon Nimmo capitalized on an error by Muñoz and reached second base. Then J.D. Martinez stepped up to the plate and delivered a crucial single, driving Nimmo home to get the Mets on the board! 1-0 Mets.4th Inning Power Surge! 
After a quiet few innings, the 4th was all action. Though the Marlins managed to score twice, the Mets roared back with a series of stunning hits. Jeff McNeil launched a two-run homer to right, giving us a 3-2 lead. Then, Francisco Lindor tripled, sending Harrison Bader home. But we weren’t done yet! Brandon Nimmo smashed a three-run homer, making it an astonishing 7-2. Mets’ Defense and Pitching Lock it Down

The Marlins tried to rally back but were no match for our resolute defense and flawless pitching to close the game.
