Big Win for the Nats! 
Hey Nationals fans, what a game! Our boys took down the Marlins with a solid 3-1 victory! Let's break down the highlights and revel in this sweet win! 
Kicking Things Off Right
The game started with a bit of a stalemate. In the top of the 1st inning, our defense held strong. But boy, did Lane Thomas come through in the bottom of the 1st! He smashed a 393-foot homer to center field, giving us an early 1-0 lead.
Holding the Line
Our defense and pitching were rock solid today. Parker did an excellent job, despite a small hiccup with an error in the 2nd inning. Even when the Marlins tied the game in the 5th inning, our boys didn't lose their focus.Blaze of Glory in the 5th
The bottom of the 5th brought more fireworks! Jacob Young hit a massive 403-foot homer to left-center, putting us back in the lead 2-1. Young was having a fantastic game on both ends.
Insurance Run in the 6th
Ildemaro Vargas played a crucial role in padding our lead. With Joey Meneses on base, Vargas doubled to right field, allowing Nick Senzel to score and making it 3-1. Those extra runs made all the difference!
Shutdown Pitching to Seal the Deal
Our bullpen was lights out! Law, R. Garcia, and Finnegan each pitched crucial innings without allowing any Marlins momentum. Finnegan, in particular, shut the door in the 9th inning with a clutch strikeout to end the game.Final Thoughts
