A Big Win in Atlanta! 🥳

Brewers fans, we did it! The Milwaukee Brewers triumphed over the Atlanta Braves with an impressive 8-5 victory. This game was filled with twists and turns, but our team pulled through in incredible fashion.

Early Struggles and Braves' Lead 😬

The Braves managed to take an early lead in the bottom of the 1st inning with a couple of solid plays that resulted in a 2-0 score. Our batters struggled to find their rhythm initially, with Jackson Chourio, Gary Sánchez, and Willy Adames all striking out swinging in the first couple of innings.

Fighting Back and Gaining Momentum 💪

Despite a rough start, the Brewers began to find some traction in the 3rd inning when Gary Sánchez walked, advanced to third on a double from Joey Ortiz, and then scored on an error by Braves' right fielder Jorge Soler. In the 5th inning, we managed to take the lead after Rhys Hoskins and Gary Sánchez got on base with singles, followed by clutch hits from Joey Ortiz and Blake Perkins. By the middle of the inning, we were ahead 3-2.

Brewers Rally to Seal the Win 🏆

The excitement didn’t end there! Austin Riley hit a two-run homer in the bottom of the 5th to give the Braves a brief 4-3 lead. But in true Brewer fashion, we rallied back in the 6th inning. Jackson Chourio stole second base after walking, and Gary Sánchez knocked him in with a single, tying the game at 4-4. Then, a single from Blake Perkins brought in two more runs, giving us a 6-4 lead.

In the 8th inning, Joey Ortiz doubled to left, scoring Willy Adames, and later scored himself thanks to Andruw Monasterio. This extended our lead to 8-4. Although Jarred Kelenic homered for the Braves in the bottom of the 9th, it wasn't enough to close the gap.

Notable Performances 🌟

  • Blake Perkins shone brightly today with critical hits and 2 RBIs.
  • Joey Ortiz demonstrated impeccable form at the plate, contributing significantly to our score.
  • Jackson Chourio showed his speed game with multiple stolen bases.

Final Thoughts 🗣️

This game was a thrilling roller coaster, but our Brewers showed their resilience and skill. Let's carry forward this momentum and continue to cheer for our boys in blue and gold! Go Brewers! 💙💛
