Brewers Triumph in a Thrilling 3-2 Victory Over the Cubs! ⚾️

What a rollercoaster of a game, Brewers fans! Our boys pulled off a nail-biting 3-2 victory over the Cubs at Wrigley Field, and it was a team effort through and through.

Brewers Strike First 💥

We got on the board early in the 1st inning. After Joey Ortiz walked and Rhys Hoskins singled, Willy Adames walked to load the bases. Jackson Chourio then singled to center, scoring Ortiz! Unfortunately, we couldn’t capitalize further, but it was a great start.

Cubs Respond but Brewers Stay Focused

The Cubs tied it up in the bottom of the 1st and then took a 2-1 lead in the 3rd on a homer by Seiya Suzuki. But our pitching and defense held firm. Big nod to Wilson and Junis for keeping the damage minimal.

Tying It Up in the 6th 🔄

In the top of the 6th, Adames singled to right and Chourio followed up with another hit. Brice Turang, pinch-hitting for Andruw Monasterio, came through in the clutch with an RBI single to tie the game at 2-2. We had the bases loaded but couldn’t push another run across.

Clutch Performance in the 9th Inning 👏

Fast forward to the top of the 9th with the game still tied. Blake Perkins singled to right, and then William Contreras, who had a solid game, doubled to center, driving in Perkins for the go-ahead run! Our bullpen shut down the Cubs in the bottom of the 9th with Payamps securing the win by striking out two and getting the final fly out.

Takeaways and Looking Forward

This game was all about resilience! Our pitchers did a fantastic job, and our hitters came through in critical moments. Special shoutout to Contreras for that clutch double!

Let’s keep this momentum going, Brewers! Time to celebrate this win and get ready for the next game. On to greater things! 🏆
