Rough Night at the Ballpark
It was a rollercoaster of emotions as our beloved Cincinnati Reds faced off against the Milwaukee Brewers in a nail-biting thriller that spanned 11 innings. Despite showcasing some impressive individual performances, the game slipped away from us, ending with a 6-5 loss.
Bats Heating Up Late
For much of the game, it seemed we were struggling to capitalize on opportunities. The Brewers got on the board first in the 2nd inning due to a string of small errors on our part. However, we found our spark in the 6th inning when Ke'Bryan Hayes homered to left field, immediately followed by another homer by Spencer Steer—what a moment that was!
Extra Innings Heartbreak
Extra innings are always tense, and the 11th was no exception. Monasterio from the Brewers hit a decisive three-run homer, pushing them ahead at 6-3. Despite our best efforts at the plate in the bottom of the 11th—with contributions from Noelvi Marte, who smashed a big homer—we fell just one run short of tying the game. Santiago Espinal also stepped up with a solid sacrifice fly, bringing the score to 6-5. While we fought valiantly and had several bright spots, it wasn’t enough to tip the scales in our favor. Hats off to the Brewers for putting up a tough battle, but as Reds fans, we'll shake this one off and look forward to the next game. Go Reds!
