Reds Edge Brewers in an 11-Inning Thriller! ⚾️

What a game, Reds fans! Our boys pulled off a nail-biting win against the Brewers in 11 innings, triumphing 4-3. Let's dive into the highlights that had us all on the edge of our seats!

Early Action and a Quick Lead 🚀

Right from the get-go, we saw some action. In the bottom of the 2nd inning, Jake Fraley got us on the board with a solo homer to right (387 feet). Shortly after, Amed Rosario had an adventurous trip around the bases, reaching third thanks to a stolen base and a throwing error. Jonathan India brought him home with a sacrifice fly, giving us a 2-0 lead.

Brewers Battle Back 💥

The Brewers didn't make it easy. In the top of the 3rd, they managed to score with Joey Ortiz crossing the plate on a sacrifice fly, closing the gap to 2-1. The real heat came in the 4th with a 400-foot homer by Willy Adames, tying the game 2-2. Then in the 5th, Ortiz struck again, this time scoring on a Brice Turang single, putting the Brewers ahead 3-2.

Fighting Spirit! 💪

Our Reds weren't about to let that stand. In the bottom of the 5th, India singled and advanced to third on a double by Elly De La Cruz. TJ Friedl came through big time with a sacrifice fly to right, allowing India to score and tying things up at 3-3.

Pitching Duel 🔥

Both teams put on a pitching clinic from the 6th inning onward. Our bullpen was stellar, including great outings from Junis and Suter. The Brewers managed to hold their own as well, keeping the score locked at 3-3 through nine innings.

Extra-Inning Drama! 🥁

Things got tense as we headed into extra innings. Both teams had chances, but clutch pitching and defensive plays kept things even until the 11th inning. Key plays included great defensive efforts from our infield and outfield, preventing the Brewers from gaining any momentum.

Walk-Off Victory! 🎉

Finally, in the bottom of the 11th, Rece Hinds (running for Dominic Smith) advanced to third on a groundout by Will Benson. Enter pinch-hitter Santiago Espinal, who came in clutch with an infield single that allowed Hinds to score the winning run. The excitement in the ballpark was palpable as the Reds clinched a thrilling 4-3 victory!

Looking Ahead 🏆

This win is exactly the kind of momentum we need heading into our next series. Let's keep riding this wave and show everyone what the Cincinnati Reds are made of! Go Reds! 🔴⚾
