Heartbreaking Loss in Denver 😢

What a rollercoaster of a game, fellow Brewers fans. Despite our best efforts, we fell short to the Rockies with a final score of 4-3. It's always tough to see a close game slip away, but let's break down what went down at Coors Field today.

Early Struggles 🥺

The Rockies got on the board first with a ground-rule double by Ryan McMahon, scoring Charlie Blackmon. We couldn't quite muster a response in the first inning, with Christian Yelich striking out and Willy Adames lining out to shortstop.

The second inning saw our pitching falter a bit as Charlie Blackmon doubled to right, scoring two more runs. That left us trailing 3-0, and we needed something to spark a comeback.

Comeback Kids! 💪

In the top of the 4th inning, our boys rallied. Sal Frelick walked, and Rhys Hoskins advanced both Yelich and Frelick with a groundout. Andruw Monasterio then came through with a clutch single that brought home both Yelich and Frelick, cutting the Rockies' lead to 3-2. The energy was back, and we knew a comeback was within reach!

Come the 6th inning, Jackson Chourio hit a huge double to center, driving in Hoskins and tying the game at 3-3. The excitement was real, but it was short-lived as Colorado's Jake Cave blasted a solo homer to center in the bottom of the 6th, putting them back on top, 4-3.

Final Push Falls Short 🤦‍♂️

We had our chances in the later innings but couldn't quite capitalize. Garrett Mitchell had a critical at-bat in the 8th but struck out looking, leaving runners stranded on base. The Rockies' bullpen held firm, keeping us scoreless in the final innings.

Despite our valiant efforts, the Rockies managed to hold us off. Christian Yelich grounded out to first in the 9th inning, sealing their victory.

Looking Forward 🤞

Today’s game showcased moments of brilliance and resilience. Although the result wasn’t what we hoped for, the team fought hard until the end. We’ve got the talent and the heart, and there’s plenty of baseball left this season.

Let's keep supporting our Brewers! On to the next game! 🧢⚾🍻
