A Big Win for the Padres! 🎉

What a game for the Padres! After a bit of a slow start, we came roaring back to clinch a 6-4 victory over the Brewers. Our bats came alive in the 4th and 7th innings, and it was just exhilarating to watch! Here's the full breakdown of the action if you missed it.

Early Inning Action âš¾

The game started off quietly with both teams struggling to get on the board. In the first inning, Luis Arraez flied out to right, Donovan Solano grounded out to third, and Jake Cronenworth grounded out to second. On the Brewers' side, we saw some walks handed out but managed to keep them at bay with great defensive plays, including a caught stealing thanks to Kyle Higashioka's rocket arm!

Merrill & Kim Light it Up in the 4th! 💥

In the bottom of the 4th inning, the excitement really began. Jackson Merrill hit a monster 440-foot homer to center field, bringing in Solano and Cronenworth. If that wasn't enough, right after Merrill's home run, Ha-Seong Kim blasted a 374-foot shot to left-center! We took a commanding 4-0 lead heading into the middle innings.

Higashioka Adds Insult to Injury 😎

The bottom of the 7th brought more fireworks. With Ha-Seong Kim on base, Kyle Higashioka crushed a 413-foot homer to left field. Now we were sitting comfortably with a 6-0 lead, and the energy in the stadium was electric!

A Close Call in the 9th 😬

It got a little too exciting in the top of the 9th inning when Brice Turang hit a three-run homer for the Brewers, shrinking our lead to 6-4. Dinelson Lamet had to come in to secure the final outs. After a tense few minutes, William Contreras grounded out to third, locking in our well-earned victory. Great job by the bullpen, especially Robert Suarez for sealing the deal.

Wrap-Up 🌟

What a fantastic team effort! Jackson Merrill, Ha-Seong Kim, and Kyle Higashioka truly shined with their huge hits. The defense was solid, and our pitching staff did a marvelous job keeping the Brewers under control until that late scare. This win certainly gives us a lot to be optimistic about as we move forward through the season. Go Padres! 💪🎉
