Brewers Win Nail-Biter Against Cardinals! 🎉

What a game, Brewers fans! Our boys edged out the St. Louis Cardinals with a thrilling 3-2 victory. Let's break down the action inning by inning.

Early Tension and First Blood 🩸

Both teams started with strong pitching, keeping the first inning scoreless. The action picked up in the 2nd inning when Willy Adames walked, setting the stage for Sal Frelick who singled to center, allowing Adames to score. Brewers took the early lead, making it 1-0. Frelick even stole second but was left stranded. What a way to kick things off!

Adding to the Lead 🏃‍♂️

We continued to build on the momentum in the 5th inning. After Sal Frelick's triple, Joey Ortiz singled to right, bringing Frelick home to extend our lead to 2-0. Ortiz tried to steal second but was caught – an unfortunate end to an otherwise productive inning for us.

Contreras Comes Through 💪

The 8th inning saw some crucial hits. Garrett Mitchell reached base and William Contreras delivered a clutch double to right, allowing Mitchell to score and pushing our lead to 3-0. However, the inning ended with Gary Sanchez grounding into a double play after coming in for Tyler Black.

Cardinals' Late Surge 🚨

The Cardinals didn't go down without a fight. In the bottom of the 8th, Matt Carpenter made a pinch-hit home run to right, scoring Lars Nootbaar and narrowing our lead to 3-2. The tension was high, but our pitchers held firm to prevent any more damage.

Nervous Final Inning 😅

The bottom of the 9th was a nail-biter. Williams came in to close, and despite a scare with the Cardinals getting bases loaded, he struck out Goldschmidt and Gorman to seal the victory for us. Whew, what a sigh of relief!

Final Thoughts ✌️

Huge shoutout to Sal Frelick and William Contreras for their timely hits and to our pitchers for keeping their composure in pressure situations. This win gives us great momentum. Keep the spirit high, Brewers fans! 🙌
