Another Tough Loss for the Nats: Brewers 8, Nationals 3

Hey Nats fans, 😢 another difficult game to stomach as we faced off against the Milwaukee Brewers today. The final score: 8-3 in favor of Milwaukee.

Early Struggles and a Glimmer of Hope

The game started off tough for us. By the end of the 2nd inning, we were already down 3-0. The Brewers managed to capitalize on a throwing error by Jacob Young and some timely hits, pushing across three runs.

In the bottom of the 3rd inning, we saw some spark thanks to CJ Abrams. After Young's single, Abrams launched a home run to center field, cutting the Brewers’ lead to 3-2. It's moments like these that show the resilience of our squad!

Tied at the 4th But Brewers Pull Ahead

We leveled the game in the 4th inning when Ildemaro Vargas singled to center, bringing Luis García Jr. home, making it 3-3. The game felt within our grasp again, but the Brewers didn't let up.

The 6th inning saw the Brewers score two more runs off Perkins' single. A score of 5-3 by the middle of the 6th had our Nats trying to catch up once again.

Brewers Keep Piling On

From the top of the 7th inning onwards, the Brewers continued to pile on the runs. A solo homer by William Contreras in the 7th and some more runs in the 8th pushed the lead to 8-3.

Despite some solid hits in later innings, we just couldn’t push runners across the plate. Our bullpen had a rough outing, with R. Garcia, Barnes, Ferrer, and Salazar all conceding runs.

Final Push Falls Short

The bottom of the 9th inning didn’t provide any comeback magic. Ground outs from Abrams, Yepez, and a few others capped off another frustrating game for the Nats.

Hang in there, Nats fans. Let’s look forward to better games ahead. 💪⚾ #Natitude
