Dominant Brewers Take Down Nationals 8-3 in Washington! 🔥

Wow, what a game for our Milwaukee Brewers! Our boys traveled to D.C. and put up one heck of a performance to claim an 8-3 victory over the Nationals. Let's dive into the highlights and celebrate this win!

Early Inning Action

We got things rolling in the top of the 1st with a single by Brice Turang, though we couldn't bring him home. It wasn't until the 2nd inning that the fireworks started. Jake Bauers drew a walk to lead off, and Rhys Hoskins doubled him in. Boom! Our first run of the night. Then Sal Frelick hit a single and got to second on a throwing error, putting runners on third and second.

A groundout from Joey Ortiz moved them over, and we saw Garrett Mitchell come through with a massive double to left, bringing in two more runs! We were already up 3-0 by the end of the 2nd inning. 😁

Nationals Try to Fight Back, but We Stand Firm

The Nationals saw some action in the bottom of the 4th when CJ Abrams hit a two-run homer to center. They managed to tie it up in the same inning, but that didn't scare our boys. We kept our heads cool and focused on regaining the lead.

Swinging Back in the 6th

In the top of the 6th, it was time for us to strike back. Willy Adames singled to start the inning and moved to second on a groundout from Jake Bauers. After Rhys Hoskins flew out, Sal Frelick was hit by a pitch, and the bases were loaded.

That's when Blake Perkins stepped up to the plate and delivered a critical single to right! Adames and Frelick scored, giving us a 5-3 lead. 💪

Contreras and More Insurance Runs

In the top of the 7th, William Contreras launched a 439-foot homer to center! That solo shot extended our lead to 6-3. You could feel the momentum tilting heavily our way!

We didn’t stop there. In the 8th, Sal Frelick reached base on an infield single, followed by walks and hits from teammates, including a sacrifice fly from Brice Turang and a single by Jackson Chourio to push the score to 8-3. Let's go, Brew Crew! 🚀

Closing it Out with Authority

All credit to our bullpen for sealing this win. Hoby Milner, Eric Lauer, and Elvis Peguero all put in crucial innings to keep the Nationals at bay. In the bottom of the 9th, Peguero took the mound and retired the side, securing our impressive 8-3 victory.

What a team effort!

Final Thoughts

This game showcased the depth and talent in our lineup. From Rhys Hoskins's clutch hits to William Contreras’s moonshot, everyone contributed. Defensive plays, smart base running, and timely hitting sealed the deal. Let's keep this momentum going, Brewers fans! 🎉
