Game Recap: Twins vs. Rangers (5-6 Loss)​

Hey Twins fans! Tough one today as we fell short against the Rangers in a nail-biter that went into extra innings, eventually losing 5-6. Here's a recap of the action from a dramatic showdown in Texas.

Hot Start for the Twins​

We came out swinging in the top of the 1st inning, with Jose Miranda tripling to left and Trevor Larnach doubling him in for the first run. Ryan Jeffers followed up with a booming homer to left center, scoring Larnach and giving us a solid 3-0 lead. Way to start strong, boys!

Jeffers Stays Hot​

In the top of the 3rd, Ryan Jeffers continued his hot streak by singling to left, driving in Willi Castro and extending our lead to 4-0. Unfortunately, that would be our last comfortable moment for a while...

7th Inning Meltdown ​

The bottom of the 7th turned disastrous as the Rangers put on a hitting clinic. A series of hits, including a double by Marcus Semien and a homer by Adolis García, wiped out our lead. Josh Jung's solo shot capped the inning, putting the Rangers up 5-4. Ouch.

Santana Keeps Us Alive​

We weren't done yet! Carlos Santana came in clutch in the top of the 9th, blasting a solo homer to right field to tie the game at 5. That sent the game into extra innings, giving us a second chance.

Heartbreak in the 10th</HEADING]
Trailing into the bottom of the 10th with Jovani Moran on the mound, an infield single by the Rangers' Josh Jung and a throwing error by Jose Miranda led to the winning run. A tough way to lose a back-and-forth game.

Final Thoughts​

Despite the solid start and late-game heroics by Carlos Santana, we couldn't hold off the Rangers' rally. A tough pill to swallow, but let's take the positives and come back stronger next time. Keep cheering loud and proud, Twins Nation!
