Tough Loss for the Twins
Despite a brilliant start with Byron Buxton launching a monstrous home run deep into center field in the first inning (447 feet!), our Twins couldn't capitalize on the early lead and fell to the Texas Rangers 4-2. The game started with high hopes as Buxton set the tone with a solo homer. It was a moment that got all of us Twins fans buzzing!
Shaky Midgame Performance
The second inning had promise, but a series of strikeouts from Brooks Lee, Edouard Julien, and Royce Lewis kept us teetering on just that one run. Then in the fourth, Texas evened it up with a homer by Josh Smith. Our bats remained quiet, and some missed opportunities on the paths, particularly when Kody Clemens made a great steal to second but was left stranded, allowed the Rangers to stay in the game.Rangers Rally Late
The real damage came in the seventh inning when a series of base hits and wild pitches by the Twins' bullpen let the Rangers pull ahead. We saw the Rangers tally three runs this inning through a mix of timely hits and some misplays from the mound.
