Mets Dominate Cubs in 11-1 Victory! 
What a game, Mets fans! Our boys absolutely crushed it against the Cubs today, securing an amazing 11-1 victory! Let's break down this dominant performance, inning by inning.Early Lead with a Bang 
Top of the 1st inning, our lineup came out blazing! Francisco Lindor started things off with a solid double to left, and Brandon Nimmo followed with a walk. Then, J.D. Martinez launched a monstrous home run to center, driving in 3 runs! We were up 3-0 right out of the gate. Although Pete Alonso struck out looking and Starling Marte grounded out, it was an electrifying start. Cubs managed to get one run in their half, making it 3-1.More Fireworks in the 2nd Inning 
Our power continued in the 2nd inning. Francisco Alvarez hit a towering homer to center, followed by a single from Jose Iglesias. Nimmo homered to left center, bringing in 2 more runs. By the end of the inning, we were up 6-1. The Cubs were struggling, striking out three times in their half.Keeping the Pressure On 
In the 3rd inning, we added another run thanks to small ball and a clutch error. Pete Alonso doubled, and Marte reached on a bunt single. Iglesias then singled to left, driving in Marte. Our relentless offense was proving too much for the Cubs, extending our lead to 7-1.4th Inning Blowout 
The 4th inning was the dagger. Lindor and Nimmo got on base with hits, then Martinez singled to score Lindor. New reliever, and the Cubs couldn't stop the carnage. Marte grounded into a fielder's choice to score one, and a critical single from Iglesias brought home two more. By the end of the inning, we held a commanding 11-1 lead.Defense and Pitching Shine 
From the 5th inning onwards, our pitchers were untouchable. The Cubs couldn't muster any offensive momentum as our bullpen dominated them. The strikeouts came quickly and often, with Adam Ottavino and Drew Smith delivering the final blows to close out the game. The Cubs were left stunned and our defense looked rock solid behind them.Final Thoughts
